# Provably Fair
Polyflip smart contract communicates with an off-chain service [powered by Chainlink](https://twitter.com/Smart_Contract/status/1496922881342816258) which ensures the randomness of the results and prevents the system from being exploited and hacked.\
In order to ensure transparency and unbiased randomness within the games, we need access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit. However, RNG solutions for smart contracts require several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions derived from blockchain data like block hashes can be exploited by miners/validators, while off-chain RNG solutions derived from off-chain APIs are opaque and donât provide users with definitive proof about the integrity of the process.
After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink VRF because itâs based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by a time-tested oracle network, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that prove the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.
[Chainlink VRF](https://twitter.com/Smart_Contract/status/1496922881342816258) works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle nodeâs pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof.

 ## Why my bet is not shown immediately in Live bets? Each bet is registered after 100 confirmation blocks to decrease the probability of blocks rearrangement. ## **Why I won the bet but the payout is not showing up in my wallet?** Players can check whether they have won in the "My bets" panel, which shows the results of recent bets, by looking for their wallet address. If the UI shows a winning bet but the payout is not appearing in your wallet, your transaction might be affected by Polygon block rearrangement, which means that Polygon blockchain has overwritten the blocks of your transaction giving a new outcome. This means that the UI received the wrong information from the blockchain, before the block rearrangement. The users have the possibility to choose the amount of the prize, by increasing the number of coins to flip simultaneously, up to 16 times the pot. These are the possible plays: * **Win 2 times\*** the value of the pot with only one coin and 50% odds; * **Win 4 times\*** the value of the pot with two coins and the 25% odds; * **Win 8 times\*** the value of the pot with three coins and the 12.5% odds; * **Win 16 times\*** the value of the pot with four coins and the 6.25% odds. We created a smart contract that is totally fexible and updatable, in the spirit of constant innovation that we will bring in the market and that is currently missing in all our competitors (i.e. sports betting is one possibility we could discuss with our DAO). * The fourth one is the **brand identity**. Dropping our NFT collection allows us to create value around our brand and our exclusive group of people who holds part of it. This strongly links with the marketing strategy but it's not limited to it and it will depend mainly on the strenght of our DAO. * The fifth one is the **expansion**. By Q3 this year we are planning to open the platform also to Binance Smart Chain that could bring to a lot of new users for which our platform will be really competitive with respect to what is currently present in that market. * The sixth one is the **scarcity**. We are open to discuss with our DAO any mechanism that can bring to a burning of a certain amount of NFTs without compromising our community.
